Mahoning Valley Brawlers

Anyone know why their home games are not at Stambaugh Stadium?

I saw a graphic of the field set-up at Eastwood Field and it looks ridiculous.  Only half of the field fits within the stands (obviously built for baseball).  The seats on the 50 yard line are at the distal edges of the stands (where the outfield would be) and are far from the actual field.

Probably because of scheduling conflicts with YSU, Mooney, Ursuline, high school playoff games and such.

This team is operated by the Scrappers ownership.  It is the FXFL or fall experimental football league and they are trying to figure a way to make use of all these minor league parks into the fall after baseball is over.  They are playing at Eastwood Field BECAUSE of Eastwood Field.  Interesting idea, wonder if it will work?
