Lots of good play.  Kauffman made a big difference and gave us a chance inside.

Yes, great game. I watched it on MyTV. Kaufman played a good game. These guys can shoot.

Kauffman gave us a presence  in the middle.  His best effort as a Penguin.  Latin Davis was the point guard down the stretch and the true frosh played well on the road.  Donlan and Morse carried the scoring as expected but Jordan Andrews put on a shooting show until foul trouble took him out of the game.   Great team effort.

Andrews committed two stupid fouls #3 and #4. #4 was especially bad. He missed a shot. Oakland got the rebound. Out of frustration,  he reached in and fouled the guy when he was bringing the ball up court. He needs to have more discipline. You just cannot made that foul when you already had 3 fouls. He has to know the coach will yank him with #4. You were having a fantastic shooting night and don't take yourself out of the game at the critical time.

Amazing things happen when you rebound the basketball...

YSU out-rebounded Oakland 47-46. A much better effort on the glass tonight compared to Saturday. Amazingly enough the rebound by Kaufman to give us the rebound advantage also won us the game as he tipped it in.

Now let's go out Thursday and beat another contender in UWM!

Give Cam some credit for beating a triple-team on that shot ...it rolled in & out then Kaufman's tip. Dang that was exciting to watch!!

According to the commentator in the TV broadcast, Oakland took No.1 Michigan State to OT before losing in the Palace in Aurburn Hills in front of over 20,000 people. Beating these guys at their own court was pretty cool.

Yes ET, this is what coach led us to believe they can do earlier in the preseason. If they continue to shoot like this, we will win a lot of games yet this season. Looks like we are going to be a bit too small to be a major force on defense, but I do like the look.

34 bench points
50% from 3-point range
48% overall shooting
12 of 14 in free throws.

Impressive win.  Felder is the best player in the HL, and Oakland is the #2 ranked HL team in the preseason poll.  There is even talk on HL forums of Oakland getting an at-large invite to the dance if Valpo wins the conference.  Could be an interesting year.  If this keeps up, I may have to get tickets for Motor City Madness.

what lit the fire under Jorden Kaufman? He had 13 rebounds, he hasn't been near that in other cameo appearances against much weaker teams.

I see Camron Morse as a good hustler and player, plus Matt Donlan is a very good shooter. Sidney Umude is raw, but has possible potential (maybe a year away). But I didn't expect Kaufman to add anything to the needed inside game. I am pleasantly surprised!!

Way to go PENGUINS !!!

Maybe he realizes he has to be the answer in the middle with Bobby out!
