Weekly fooball conference scoreboard
« on: September 03, 2017, 12:38:25 PM »
http://valley-football.org/news/2017/9/3/football-saturday-sept-2-mvfc-recaps.aspx Will be posting scores on a weekly basis. As a whole the valley was 5-4 and 0-3 against F.B.S. opponents this week. Teams rolled on the cupcakes as expected and SDSU handled Duquesne earlier in the week and Indiana St. gave their game away to Eastern Illinois. JMU did knock off East Carolina on Saturday by a wide margin

NDSU will be with out LB Nick Deluca for the E. Washington game. He hurt his knee yesterday in practice and it doesn't look good. That brings the total number to 6 for the Bison with knee injuries. Four played key roles and the other player was a all-american DE..All were the non contact variety

http://valley-football.org/ Watched all of the SD/BG game. SD is for real and their QB is the real deal. SD will be a tough game on the road. I dont like this game scheduled in between SDSU and NDSU

http://valley-football.org/news/2017/9/17/football-salukis-stay-perfect-snap-12-game-road-streak.aspx Another solid day for the valley. Little surprised Northern Iowa lost to Southern Utah..Indiana St. Cant seem to catch a break and have lost two games in the final seconds of play

I watched much of the UNI-SUU game.  Northern Iowa is not a good football team.  Negative yardage in their running game against a pedestrian Big Sky outfit.  One gets the impression the NDSU, SDSU, and now SD have passed them in the pecking order in the upper midwest.

It's "probably" premature to suggest we move Mark Schuler back to TE so he can at least earn a letter?  Hasn't seen the field in 2 weeks, which has to be close to some kind of record.

Him being on the sideline is a good thing.

With SD playing the way they are, the next three games will be a lot of fun.

Valley looking tough this year. Glad we miss WIU because they destroyed CCU. WIU looking good this year. Memphis is getting challenged by the Egyptian dogs right now too. Which I know it's Memphis but they did beat UCLA this year

http://www.valley-football.org/ Well we dropped from 3rd to 8th this week. Still cant believe Central Arkansas, Wofford , SDSU are ranked ahead of us just ridiculous. I did get a chance to watch the Western and Northern game from Saturday. Both teams are more then capable and the Panthers should have never lost. That will be a tough game in Iowa fot the Guins

Yeah... the SDSU game wasn’t a fluke it was a pretty convincing win, I have no idea what the logic of SDSU ranked higher is. And SD barely escaped with a win at Home, they should be 1 maybe 2 spots higher than us, not 4.

Oh well I guess maybe a lower ranking is better, hoping the bison overlook us

Wofford is a really good team this year ...much better than last. I don't understand the struggle with WCU though.

Their interior DL was the best we faced all of last season and they all return

If they had a QB that could throw at all and a little more speed in the backfield they would be a monster.
