Dylan Latone and Daiquain Watson won events to lead the Youngstown State men's track and field team to a four-point lead following the first day of competition of the Horizon League Championships at the WATTS. Latone won the pole vault while Watson earned the crown in the long jump as the Penguins built a 52-48 lead over Milwaukee following Saturday's action.
Jaynee Corbett won her third straight Horizon League Championship in the weight throw and the YSU women's track and field team set three school records on the first day of competition at the league meet at the Watts. After the first day Oakland leads with 59 points while YSU is second with 57 and Milwaukee is third with 36.
Sunday's events start at 9:15 a.m. with the high jump. Running events are slated for 1 p.m.
