Tickets for the Youngstown State women's basketball team's quarterfinal game at Beeghly Center in the 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship will go on sale this Friday.
The quarterfinal contest on Rosselli Court will be on Wednesday, March 6. Tip time will be announced at a future date.
Reserved and general admission tickets for the game will be $10 apiece, and YSU students will receive a free general admission ticket with a valid ID. Penguin Club members and season ticket holders will have until Tuesday, March 5, at 5 p.m. to renew their seats before they are released for sale to the public.
"Getting to host a quarterfinal game is a tremendous accomplishment for us," YSU head coach John Barnes said. "We defended our court well throughout the regular season, and having the community behind us will give us a huge advantage. I'm looking forward to the atmosphere that we'll have."
Area high school or youth basketball teams interested in attending the game can contact the YSU Athletic Ticket Office for potential complimentary tickets.
YSU secured a top-four seed and the first-round home game by beating Green Bay and Milwaukee this past weekend at Beeghly Center. The Penguins have set program records with 12 Horizon League wins and 15 home wins so far this season, and they remain in contention for the conference's regular-season title and the top seed in the tournament.
This will be the fifth time that YSU has hosted a game in the Horizon League Tournament, and the Penguins won the first four. Each of the last three tournaments has been at one site instead of having the first round on campuses. YSU beat Detroit Mercy 73-55 on March 11, 2015, in its last Horizon League Tournament contest at Beeghly Center.
