There was some kind of accusation against her I think the last year and I think she was exonerated but they decided to move on.  Did we have a national search? Did they interview  anybody else? Kinda odd how we handled this who thing?

Was that comment about the YSU President search process meant to be sarcasm?

The board of trustees hired the president without much of a search. It was widely reported in the media. It is a fact and not meant to be sarcastic.
That has nothing to do with the qualifications of the person. It was the process being questioned. Personally, I think Tressel has been a great president and Johnson will probably do the same to move the university forward.
IMO, today, the president must be able run the university as a business enterprise and not just focusing on the academics.

I remember what Strollo said when he hired Barnes. He maintains a list of potential candidates SHOULD he need to replace the head coach for whatever reason. Obviously Jackson was on Strollo's list as soon as Akron refused to renew her contract, despite her relative success in Zippy land.

This is an intelligent method for hiring a head coach, especially in today's world of the transfer portal. There is simply no time for a national search from scratch. And should Calhoun leave, Strollo better have his replacement lined up and ready to sign.
