Youngstown State sophomore tailback Torrian Pace (Chantilly, Va.) was named to the Capital One Academic All-District V team on Thursday, the College Sports Information Director of America announced.
Pace and Northwestern's Jacob Schmidt were the two running backs selected in District V. Pace owns a 3.54 grade-point average in Criminal Justice in two-plus years at YSU.
This season, Pace has rushed for 150 yards on 25 carries and one touchdown in a reserve role.
He is now eligible for CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America honors with will be announced in early December.
