Who is going to the game Saturday?

I live in Pittsburgh and will be at the game on Saturday.  I have not purchased a ticket yet - I want to sit with YSU fans.  Any advice on how to purchase a ticket or two where all the YSU fans are sitting?  I am so excited for this game!

I bought my tickets through YSU and we are in section 103.

I imagine a bunch of people bought them online so we'll probably be scattered around.

This chart shows the designated visitor seating areas so these are probably where the YSU alottment is scattered.

I went to the previous two YSU-Pitt games plus a few other Pitt games and I guess section 103 is where they always sit most visiting fans.

I will be there. Either purchasing my tickets through YSU or game day (I don't anticipate a problem in securing a General Admission ticket). I like standing on the open end of the stadium and watching from the end zone & jumbo tron / walking around. Heinz Field is a pretty cool stadium.

I remember in 2005 there were a lot of YSU fans at the game (maybe 6,000 or more fans, it was a 2/3pm game).  In 2009 the number of YSU fans for the 12noon kickoff were far fewer.  Other than the Canfield Fair, 6pm is a great time.  How many YSU fans do you think will be at the game?

I did not think there were that many in 05 ...but I could be wrong. My guess is this will weekend will be a very large away crowd ...I was going to say around 5k. Every time I go to an away game, I think about one of the Kent games. The largest crowd of the year ...over 30k ...and there is no doubt in my mind that 20k+ were Penguin faithful. It would be fantastic to see that kind of an away crowd Saturday. I think Fair, ticket price, distance, and a lack of faith keep it lower ...but several thousand for sure, and I have a feeling about this game that I cannot describe!!

Not to get ahead of myself. Since the fair is not on the home-opener this year ...I think next week will be a packed house ...expect "will-call" to be up and running. All indications are the the Guins are back in '12!!

We have two flags that we plan on flying. There is also another couple of crews that also fly them...we look for those. I think lots open at 1p ...so Primanti Bros is a good idea. Won't leave any room for tailgate food
