About cheering

In my 70 years of cheering football, I have NEVER
needed a COACH to signal me "cheer now".  Sorry,
IMO I think a Coach has enough to do, following the
plays of his team.  When QB Hess (Jon Heacocks recruit)
fades back for a pass.....I yell.  When defense is in action,
I yell.  Is that too difficult?

SOME people don't want to stand and cheer, but they
have paid for their seat, as has those that cheer...so
to each his own.  Go to the game, do as you please, but
NEVER do I need the head football coach to tell me to
CHEER.  Can I tell him.....DO YOUR JOB...then I'll have
something to cheer about.

GO PENQUINS (I always cheer)

PITA,

I had people trying to get me thrown out of the stadium, from my reserved seats because I stand and I yell and I cheer and they don't like it.   I am happy that the coach is allow  this to be acceptable.  I like it loud and I like the roar of the crowd.

So do I Power, but PITA hit the nail on the head ...do your job (speaking about any head-coach) and give us something to cheer about. I sit in the reserved seats as well, and I have never had anyone say anything, or discourage anyone from cheering. Granted, we need to keep it clean, but that is the only thing I am worried about. I used to bring my daughter & I worried a little about the language ...but it is a game and tempers can flare in the stands.

In fact, YSU fans have always been a source of pride for me. There is not a coach out there that will not comment on the atmosphere in the ice castle ..and knowledgeable fan-base is usually the first thing out of their mouths.

Not the people that sit around me.  Bunch of b****ers actually, drives me crazy  I am seriously thinking of sitting behind the students next game.

Couldn't agree more H.  We have a bunch of people who refuse to cheer.  Very discouraging...Ever since they took the penguin on a stick out of the game, it has been downhill with the cheering in our section.  Might have to bring the bullhorn back out!!!
