Baseball to Play Exhibition Game on Saturday
« on: September 25, 2012, 05:18:21 PM »
The Youngstown State baseball team will play an exhibition game against the Ontario Nationals this Saturday at Eastwood Field.

The exhibition will take place right after the Luke Holko Hit-A-Thon, which is a fund-raising event that will help Akron Children's Hospital. The Hit-A-Thon will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and first pitch of the exhibition is scheduled for 3 p.m. There will be no admission fee for the YSU game.

The exhibition will be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2012-13 baseball team, which is under the leadership of first-year head coach Steve Gillispie.

For more information about the Luke Holko Hit-A-Thon, go to www.atbatforluke.org.

The YSU coaching staff is also announcing a change to its fall showcase camp schedule. The session scheduled for this Sunday will be combined with the event on Sunday, Oct. 28. For more information on the camps, go to www.penguinscamps.com.
