What a gritty comeback win by the Guins.  The refs were definitely pro-Loyola.  What a cheap call on Eargle at the end!  You call that in a close game like that.  We can't help it that Loyola blew a 10-pt lead.

YSU comes from 14 down in the second half to beat Loyola 68-66.  Kendrick Perry with an off balance shot off the glass as the shot clock expired with 5 seconds left.  Ramblers called time at half court with 1.5 left.  Gains were playing great D with Bobby Hain guarding the inbound pass but Eargle was called for a hold on Averkamp.  He missed the front end of a one and one and the ball went out of bounds with 0.2 left and Loyola could not get a shot off.

Great win for YSU.  This weekend is what's the Horizon is going to be all year.  Close games throughout, whoever makes the late plays wins.

OK, Slocum only did that because he was mad at me for trashing his terrible record in one-possession games :P  Hey, I will keep cutting him down all year if that is what it takes. 8)

As dismal as it looked with 10:00 left, we ended up experiencing the best weekend in the league.  Early in conference play, ignore the records and look at only two things: road wins and home losses.  Loyola is the only other team to win on the road, but they just canceled that out with a home loss today.  Our game against Detroit on Thursday is huge.
