Indianapolis, Ind. -- Youngstown State junior Casey Crozier was named the Horizon League Softball Pitcher of the Week after tossing her first career no-hitter and the first at YSU since 2003, the league announced on Monday.
Crozier (8-5) went 3-1 last week with two shutouts and posted a 1.08 ERA in 26.0 innings pitched.
The junior hurler no-hit Detroit in an 8-0 win, striking out seven Titans. She also blanked the Titans the next day, allowing just three hits while racking up four strikeouts.
In four starts, Crozier's opponents batted a mere .149 batting while she recorded 22 strikeouts with just five walks.
Besides the no-hitter, Crozier tossed a three-hit shutout in a 5-0 win over Detroit on April 9 and surrendered just three hits in a 2-1 win over Cleveland State on April 14.
The Penguins visit Eastern Michigan in a doubleheader, Tuesday, at 3 p.m.
