SportsNetwork Ranking
« on: October 27, 2013, 05:05:36 PM »
These pollsters are unreal... The following teams lost and moved UP this weekend:

JMU
Villanova
Wofford
Lehigh

Anyone notice a trend?  If you look at the rankings and schedules YSU should make the playoffs at 8-4 but we know better than to think the committee would alow such a thing to happen.....

The poll doesn't come out until tomorrow. Whatever you are looking at is incorrect.

Way too early to worry about polls!

One game at a time is enough to think about.

It seeems to me that we have never handled high ranking well under Wolford. Last year when we beat Pitt and had a 4-0 record we reached the top 5 and then we went from there to unranked-sort of what is happeneing to UNI this year.

This is still the Gateway and all of the teams are tough. UNI is better than their record indicates. Not sure what to make of USD, but everyone else we play will be a challenge and it will be a tall order to win at least 3 of the last 4 especially when some playoff hopes, conference championships, and maybe most important a playoff seeding is factored in to the equation. That is not even mentioning the fact that we haven't lost a conference game yet and everyone will give us their best shot at giving us our first conference loss and taking down a ranked team.

The ranking doesn't matter, we need to win at least 3 of the last 4 to get a decent playoff spot.

I probably shouldn't mention that we are 8th in the GPI.
