If you were still in Youngstown and watched this defense in person, you might share this conclusion with some of us. Look, every kid that plays college football is very good, regardless of the level. But when comparing this defense to the championship units of the 90s, here is what one sees: the defensive line stinks, the secondary stinks, and the linebackers are barely adequate. Until Wolford, or the next guy, elevates those rankings to at least the "above average" level, we will have a bad football team.
