And the stats should be better considering the competition. We have played 1.5 games.

Yeah, I agree the Offense should be higher. Plus you'd figure a Big 10 team woud put up 50+ on an FCS team  ::)

Hey Red!

What are these ranking based on? Points?

Big 10 is way over-rated. More than they usually are. The bottom feeders there are terrible.

Defense looks better at times...cant put a whole game together though. And that deep middle is feathery soft as always lol. This is where I usually rip the D line but what else needs to be said?

Hi ya Happy. How's Buck and the family doing? Honestly, I'm here to be a pain in the ass  ;D Already watching the uninformed that never put on a pair of cleats trash the defense.. (near and dear to my heart). If you and the board think the defense is the problem and can't play a whole game I'm missing something. The offense is offensive so far really can't play a whole game  ;) I'm thinking though with the great and wonderful coaching staff YSU has they are sand bagging and we'll see the real YSU football team show up on 27 Sep. We'll see. I've seen a few of the MVFC teams play in person this year YSU better have its crap together. Two things that won't work this year even against the weak sisters of the MVFC. Running the ball up the middle and wide open receivers all over the middle of the field (Wolfords trade mark team traits).

I agree that we may be sandbagging.   However, would you let someone beat you on purpose when you were playing?   Not sure I could handle that (doing it on purpose) but the game plans may be different.

I am bringing daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and my mother. Now if we all bring 5 people, there is not enough room ...so I would advice you to only bring 4   :)

Red,

Everybody is doing pretty good. Hope the same way down south where you are.

Let's just agree that neither side of the ball has delivered a knock-out 60 minute showing yet  ;)

When we are in-conference, apples to apples we'll know.

That's why i don't like these 4 games....I think a let down is unavoidable when you go from the atmosphere of playing at Illinois to hosting St. Frank.

Real season starts next game I hope we are ready, because we really have no idea.

Agreed! I believe the only complete game I've seen YSU play since the Wolford era started was Pitt.

Statistics will start mattering in a week when we enter conference play.. I agree though that we have not collectively as a team on either side of the ball played a full 60 minute football game. Need to stay healthy and have a good month of october.  Missouri State game should be an interesting game to watch.

For the most part agree ---last year vs. Illinois State they looked unbeatable and a few years back they looked good in Fargo,

I must go and receive some kind of a pre settlement loan to make this right. I would stay healthy and have a good month of october.  Missouri State game should be an interesting game to watch.

Agreed.  Keep health up and october will be ours. Will the Bears be able to stop us?

Since YSU is going into the 3rd game of "the real season" I thought I would revisit this for the "uninformed haters". Statistically the Defense is outperforming the offense.  :o  I cut it off at where YSU ranks in 1FCS up to this point. Interesting how SIU and YSU are ranked very closely... Although, SIU's schedule was a bit tougher.
