Heacock and Wolf get fired, but the AD stays put?  If a corporation's stocks tank....do you fire the regional manager but keep the CEO?

Disagree with you about the AD. YSU sports are generally doing well on all fronts except football and men's bball. He does a lot with very little.

FB and MBB are the two signature sports at YSU.  FB went from playoff and championship caliber under JT as the AD (who also had a second full time job) to 1 playoff and no championships/14 years under Strollo.  I'm glad the Olympic sports are doing well, but the collapse of FB outweighs that.

Imagine a fireman saying, "The neighborhood burned down but  I rescued the cat from the tree!"  I know that type of underachievement  wouldn't fly at my job.

The president, being the previous AD at this school will be able to judge Strollo and determine if he is or is not effective and determine what the best course of action is for the department. I have full faith in Tressel

Hard to have a home field advantage when there are 1,000 people in the stands.. And the students are on the opposite side of the field. Stambaugh is not one of the nicest facilities in the FCS anymore. Face it people.

Stambaugh is past due for major renovations. I wonder if the University is willing to spend the $10-$20 million needed to upgrade the stadium

Give alot of credit to Wells to dodge that sack to be able to get the touchdown. That was big

Tre Roberson is the Best QB wolford has faced while at YSU. The way he dominated at Indiana is how he is dominating here today. Its gonna be a shootout but it looks like our offense might be able to keep up

I know, I am watching it on ESPN3. But, I had to go to the South Dakota website to get the ESPN3 feed. On the YSU site, I was directed to StretchInternet. It appears the game on ESPN3 is the broadcast from a station in South Dakota that is picking up the MYTV feed.

What I'm trying to figure out is why the YSUGAMEDAYCENTRAL is steering people to StretchInternet and not ESPN3, when the game is on ESPN3?

I went to ESPN3.com and found the game with ease, like i do all road games

Better question. Why is YSU even passing, given they are playing against the worst running defense in the MVFC, and YSU has 2 of the best RB's in the MFVC to go along with an above average offensive line?

My thoughts (and i might be wrong) is they know they can run all over USD in 2nd half if they need too and they want to get Wells experience in throwing vs tougher defenses so they are using the first half as in game training for him for the NDSU/ISUb/ISUr games if it comes down to Wells winning the game

DoubleE,

If you monitor the performance of other FCS conferences this season, you would conclude that the committee will actually be taking quite a few four loss teams this season.  They will have no choice to fill out the 24 team field.  Don't be shocked to see one or two 7-5 teams in the field with the right schedules (ex. a 7-5 UNI with their two FBS losses.)

Our problem is that Illinois State and Indiana State are better than Southern Illinois and Missouri State.  We must beat one of them, preferably Indiana State at home.  Even if we beat Illinois State, we probably won't finish ahead of them in the standings as they don't play North Dakota State.

We saw a 7 win school and 8-4 schools from weaker conferences taken ahead of YSU last year as well.  Our non conference strength of schedule is on par with last years. I see no reason why 8-4 wasnt good enough last year but will be this year but I may be wrong

The MVFC out of conference performance is 23-1 this year. That should speak for itself.  But we have already beaten teams that have gotten big out of conference wins. Clearly head and shoulders over everyone else.

I would like to agree with your thought process but the MVFC was far and away the best conference last year as well and we were snubbed. I have no faith in the selection committee after last year in doing the right thing
