Next to the codes for the US nuclear arsenal, the length and details of Phillips' extension is the most closely guarded secret in America.

I even looked on the event's website and nothing about TV is mentioned https://www.gazellegroup.com/main/axe-em-classic/

However if you look at host Stephen F. Austin's website https://sfajacks.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule it lists all the games and it shows ESPN+ for their games against Presby tonight & Monmouth tomorrow, but not YSU on Saturday.  The ESPN+ schedule shows the same thing.  Very weird!
I did the same research and I even looked into the nec League website for possible tv coverage, I found nothing.
It is possible that SFA might have a contract to carry their games on ESPN +.
I looked at the YSU MBB website, it didn’t show tv coverage for our game vs Western Michigan. But, I went to ESPN+, it showed that game will be broadcasted. YSU website does not list too many tv coverage on our games, including the league games. I know all league games are on ESPN+ or other ESPN channels. Our sports department is not doing their job again.

I think everyone can agree that we were out coached in every game this year when we were unable to make adjustments and or counter- adjustments. Since coaching is clearly a problem for us, if he does not improve on our coaching, better recruiting is not going to take us to the promised land.

Doesn't appear that any of the 3 YSU men's basketball games over the next 3 nights will be televised- that's disappointing.

YSU has never played any of the 3 (Monmouth, Presbyterian or Stephen F. Austin)

Monmouth is 0-5 but their losses have been to Michigan St, Temple, Northern Illinois, Rutgers & Wichita State)

Presby is 2-3 with wins against Carolina Christian & Wofford and losses to Charlotte, NC State & Kennesaw State)

SFA is 2-2 with wins against Dallas & LeTourneau and losses to Drake and Arkansas State.

YSU is a 4.5 favorite tonight. SFA is an 8.5 point favorite against Presby. Anything less than 2 wins will be disappointing.

I am surprised that the tournament organizers couldn’t get ESPN+ to televise any of the games.

It would have been shocking if he had stayed. I hope that he lands someplace that will give him an opportunity.
I thought he was the best qb at the spring game. Apparently, coaches didn’t think so.
It has been reported we also have a freshman qb coming in next year. Wondering if that has anything to do with his decision to leave.

Jayguin,

We must have been looking at two different teams. Our defense was pathetic. Good thing we are the national leader, or close to it, in time of possession. If we had an offense that could not move the chains, that defense would have given up 500 yards and 45+ points every game. Were there any legitimate DI players on that defense? Some of us could not see one.

If we retain those defensive coaches, we are doomed.

I agree our defense is very poor, especially the defensive scheme. Unless the defensive coaches are either replaced or coming up with better schemes, we will not improved (even with better players.)

Our offense needs to score lots of points to keep us in the game. BB has shown some signs of passing game in the last outing. I believe that was because he hurt his ankle so he couldn’t take off running. That forced him to start looking for receivers. Our coaches might be able to work with him next year to improve his passing game with both longer passes or looking for secondary receivers.
Just my opinions.

I was wondering why he hadn’t posted for a while. He will be missed.

Despite how the board feels I don't think Phillips is going anywhere.  His mandate is to kill it in the portal and to not get beat down with attrition with any decent returners.  I'm all in but can't have a 2nd year in a row with this type of results.   Defense has to go up a level which is a no-brainer comment.
I also don’t think he is going anywhere. But, he has to do his job to improve on the offensive and defensive coaching staff.

The refs not helping YSU any.  That last foul called on Dynes when he was pulled down was ridiculous.

!00%.  Dynes got chocked out and they call him for the foul.  BAD!!
Dynes was pull to the ground and ref called the foul on him to get him out of the game. Wow…

We haven't been able to play a full game all season
 They adjust, we don't.
It’s coaching…or lack thereof

Farmer did well. He didn’t try to take those 3s. He drove to the basket instead.
