YSU wins 72-62 despite being down 14 late in the first half, going 6 minutes without scoring in the 2nd half, and had 4 bad turnovers in the last couple minutes of the game and used all their timeouts.  Held Monmouth to just 24 points in the 2nd half.  After being just 9-17 at the FT with less than 4 minutes to go in the game, YSU hit 9 of the last 10 to ice it.  YSU did a much better job on the board in the 2nd half +7 after being -11 in the first half.

Farmer and Galette both had 16 points as they've established themselves as the top scorers.  Dynes only played 8 minutes and had 4 fouls.

YSU still up 6 at the 4-minute timeout, but haven't scored in 6 minutes! Just 9-17 from the FT line

Like you guys I'm listening to Rob.  It's too bad that's there is no tv coverage and I thought at least the SFA game would be on.espn+.   Guys are making a great run the 2nd half.

I guess like someone said the reason that game probably isn't is because their football team is home on Saturday.

YSU now up 10 at the 8-minute timeout, but sounded like had some good opportunities to push that lead higher.

YSU is getting some turnovers, knocking down 3's, and doing better on the boards in the 2nd half.  After being down 14 late in the first half, YSU is up 5 at the 12-minute timeout!

Not a good first half for YSU.  Down 9 at the half, was 14 before YSU went on a 5-0 run to the end the half. YSU getting dominated 27-16 on the boards & 11-1 on the offensive. That's the big difference as Monmouth has gotten off 14 more shots. Just 7-12 from the FT line.

Only 2 points & 0 rebounds for Dynes. Already has 3 fouls. And that's after not scoring and only having 2 rebounds against Syracuse.  And only 1 rebound against Ohio State.  Hard to believe only 3 rebounds in 2.5 games

I even looked on the event's website and nothing about TV is mentioned https://www.gazellegroup.com/main/axe-em-classic/

However if you look at host Stephen F. Austin's website https://sfajacks.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule it lists all the games and it shows ESPN+ for their games against Presby tonight & Monmouth tomorrow, but not YSU on Saturday.  The ESPN+ schedule shows the same thing.  Very weird!

Doesn't appear that any of the 3 YSU men's basketball games over the next 3 nights will be televised- that's disappointing.

YSU has never played any of the 3 (Monmouth, Presbyterian or Stephen F. Austin)

Monmouth is 0-5 but their losses have been to Michigan St, Temple, Northern Illinois, Rutgers & Wichita State)

Presby is 2-3 with wins against Carolina Christian & Wofford and losses to Charlotte, NC State & Kennesaw State)

SFA is 2-2 with wins against Dallas & LeTourneau and losses to Drake and Arkansas State.

YSU is a 4.5 favorite tonight. SFA is an 8.5 point favorite against Presby. Anything less than 2 wins will be disappointing.

YSU women added Clarion at home this Friday to replace North Dakota cancellation. Wonder if there's any chance of a men's game being added at some point?

All things considered, YSU played well in the first half...just couldn't hit good looks.  Just 1-12 from 3 and have missed 4 FT. YSU is doing a good job on the offensive boards and got OSU into some foul trouble.  If you said they held OSU to 37 points in the first half, you would take that.  If YSU could have hit just a couple more 3's it's an entirely different game.

Like I said above, YSU is going to need to make 3's to stay competitive. They've gotten good looks & are 0-5 thus down 10-2 at 16 minute media timeout. OSU has hit 2-3 & have 2 dunks.

Hopefully it's a competitive game.  I wish YSU could have gotten a few games under their belts before playing OSU & Syracuse.  Going to have to have to a better job at shooting 3's, hitting only 5 like Saturday isn't going to cut it.  Need to hit 10 or more and keep OSU in the 70s or low 80s to make it competitive.

Thought the first half was pretty sloppy, but you'll have that in your first game, especially on the road and with so many new players.  It would have been nice to get the Westminster game in.

Defense held Chicago St. more than 7 mins in the first half without a FG and the last 9:15 in the 2nd half!  YSU probably should have won the game by 30.  Should have had a bigger lead than 3 at the half & wasn't great from the FT line or 3's. Can't complain though about a 20 point victory on the road.

Agree with everything else that was said above.

So why is the womens game delayed?

Says a power outage affecting several buildings on campus and the next update at 6:30 PM. I was planning on leaving to go to the men's game. Have to wonder what the status of that game will be.

Does anyone know if GENERAL ADMISSION is just behind the hoops or in the upper section of the new seats like last year?   I need to know.
