From looking at his Twitter page I think all his offers were D2 except YSU.   Not 100% sure though.   I'm thinking he's a backup but who knows.

Thought they would try to get a wide body type.   I guess they're content with Carroll,Galette, and Kirkland.   Pretty sure that's 13 scholarships unless there was a departure that has not been disclosed.

Looking at this roster I would not try to figure who the starters are and probably won't know until the first jumpball in November but I think the upperclassmen transfers that have a D1 experience are going to be the guys.

TP Commit: Detroit Mercy transfer Jayden Stone has committed to West Virginia.

He averaged 20.8 points, 5.6 boards, and 2.7 assists for the Titans this past season.

Pretty big step up from UDM to WV.

CBB Transfer Portal Numbers by Year

2019: 1,516 Transfers
2020: 1,623 Transfers
2021: 2,454 Transfers
2022: 2,563 Transfers
2023: 2,725 Transfers
2024: 3,051 Transfers

That's both D1 and D2.

Good or bad ?   It's the new reality .

With Cris Carroll on the upcoming roster has anyone heard any other names we are recruiting for next year.  We need another point guard and possibly a walk-on big guy say 6-8 or similar size.  We are set at center and shooting guards just need more forwards. Anyone here anything??

Pride,I think we're good at point guard.  I heard that David Wilkerson was in line to start at pg last season but got hurt and with the addition of Ty Harper and Jason Nelson that gives us three to man the position.

The need is a guy similar to DJ Burns who can rebound and score inside.   Maybe they have that on the roster now and i'm not seeing it.   Looks like there are 12 on scholarship and there's room for one more unless a walkon gets put on scholarship.

I read  that as of today 49% of all transfers are still uncommitted.   No clue who the staff is in on but I'm excited an optimistic of what they accomplished so far.

Did we get him?  Verbal commits doesn't have him committing to anyone yet.

He'll play over seas and make some decent cash.  Very versatile .  Can handle the ball and his 3 point shooting will probably get better in Europe.   One of the best rebounders in YSU history.  Love his effort and ethuiasm,
