Great win. But before we get to high, it was the worst UNI team ever.  We were up 14-0 and we're first and 10 on their 25 before another implosion. Coaching staff is letting these kids down. D is embarrassingly bad and we nothing different play after play game after game. Gotta change and soon!

so happy for the players, the look on their faces as they came over to the band after the game was awesome.

I won't cause I have business to attend too in Pittsburgh but plan to listen on radio.  I used to work in Pittsburgh and reception is good in Pittsburgh for 570.
Have you tried to stream Wkbn 570 on the iHeart radio app on the cell phone? I use it to listen when I am out of town to get around the reception issues. Wkbn reception is terrible in the Cleveland area.
Ditto on iheart

This staff incompetence is NOT FAIR TO THEY PLAYERS. They all have to go now. I mean today. You'll lose the kids you want to keep if you don''t promise them a future.

If you wrote GIRARD in the end zone I'd swear I was watching the Mark Waid tape. Every pass a sidearm
high punt like throw to a receiver behind the D.   Real questions about arm strength and quality of competition   hope he works out but nothing obvious.

600k. Wow

Was thinking the same thing, seems way high.
Everything is WAY HIGH. Good grief we are spending $500 for each seat in Beagley. . (election day is a week from tomorrow)

Bad loss for quins....?.
What?  We won, you're kidding? I was sure we lost reading this.  For those of you new to YSU football, the D last year was awful. 10 new starters. It will take a while to get good.
I don't get the coaching critics at all? Timeouts? Game plans?  You've lost me.

Should be healthy and ready to go. Much different team than least game last year. Should be much better on D and run game. Not as good passing. Villanova has a bunch back and Should contend in playoffs. We should know a lot more about quins after game.

There are not seven receivers in CLE better than Oliver. That statement covers at least half the teams in nfl.

YSU Football has a lot of work to do to become relevant in a watered down FCS.   The coach is solely responsible for 3 thgs that need to happen or the decline worsens.
1. Recruit/retain talent
2. Accountability in coaching staff
3. NIL secure money for the program
Decline worsens????  We made the second round of thebplayoffs. What decline are you talking about?  Good grief, our defense sucked. Phillips cleared out most of the d and restocked from every option. Recruites, por5al transfersvfrom above and below.  I think coachnis doing a great job.

I totally agree with YsuGo.   Defense will need to be better.  Brutal schedule and many difficult road games.  I said it last time 6-6 at the best.
I love this blog. Complain that d is bad and need improvements, yet b****, b****nwhen we get rid of plays from d and bring in replacements!  What do you want fans, bad players to get good?  I give Phillips credit. Try something else.

So if we are doing so well why do so many football players transfer out?   Cannot be making more somewhere else right?
I continue to belive that most of out transfers out went with our blessing. We lost a bunch of defensive players from a bad defense. I can only think of one los I wish had stayed.

Is this fact or just an opinion.  I hope you are right but I find it hard to think that the coaching staff felt that it was good that last seasons starters on defense were better off transferring and that they could replace  them with better players from the transfer portal.   I'd be curious which guys are an up grade on the Dline or linebackers.   Especially since the guys that transferred went to actual D1 programs like Kansas,Illinois and Duke.
I would have had Wodke and Howard back even though Dylan's production dropped way off in 2023. We lost a bunch of DBs that couldn't cover me. When somebody says "I continue to believe"  a reasonable person would assume its an opinion. Your "fact" question is ignored and unappreciated.
