To the suprise of none of us, YSU is ranked #1 nationally in passing defense.  #4 in total defense

Numbers are obviously skewed due to the last 2 opponents but the defense is very much improved under Bo. Going to need to lean on them later in the season.

YSU also (obviously) tied for #1 in fewest passes intercepted (-0-) and tied 31st in interceptions with 3

0505 is clearly right about the last two games skewing the stats, but all you can do is stop the opponent on the other side of the line of scrimmage.  Pass defense was the biggest weekness of all 5 Wolford teams, now vastly improved.  Remains to be seen just how much improved it is, but definitely better.

Agreed.  Numbers mean little now.  For example, UNI did nothing offensively against Iowa State but rolled up the yards and the points against two Big Sky opponents.  Was it their offense or traditional Big Sky lousy defense?  Too early to tell.  Same can be said about our defense.  We will find out starting in South Dakota in eleven days.
