Kendrick Perry Named to More Preseason All-America Teams

Boston, Mass. -- Youngstown State men's basketball senior guard Kendrick Perry (Ocoee, Fla.) was named to 2013-14 Lou Henson Preseason All-America Team, CollegeInsider.com announced.

Perry, a two-time All-Horizon League First-Team selection, has also been named the Horizon League Preseason Player of the Year by Blue Ribbon Sports and TheHoopsReport.com.

Perry, who led the Penguins and ranked second in Horizon Leauge in scoring last season with 17.3 points per game, was named a Top Ten Mid-Major Point Guards to Watch in 2013-14 by MidMajorMadness.com and ranked No. 17 on Bleacher Reports Top 20 Mid-Major Stars in 2013-14.

He is the only returning player in the Horizon League that ranked in the top 10 in scoring (2nd - 17.3 ppg), steals (t-1st - 1.9 spg), assist-to-turnover ratio (3rd - 2.0), free-throw percentage (5th - .845), assists (6th - 4.1 apg), and rebounding (t-8th - 5.5 rpg).

The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the top Mid-Major player in Division I college basketball.
