YSU is a quality school. Like most schools, YSU has certain programs that are more highly rated/respected than others. Engineering is one of these fields. Three others that come to mind of the top of my head are Education , Fine & Performing Arts and Criminal Justice.
This being said, YSU is an open admissions University, and that also leads to many people enrolling and being accepted for whom college is not the best route post high school. And, critics/haters of YSU are much more interested in pointing out people who fall into this category, than the many positives 4-5 years at YSU and earning a degree from YSU has to offer.
